Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today the kids had free centers so they were really excited to have the choice of the center they got to play with. We also had the Ipad in our classroom today! They each got 15 minutes with 10 minutes doing their letters, and five minutes playing an app of their choice. They did an awesome job with it and really enjoyed it! Today was our pizza party for meeting our goal for the food pantry donations, so we had some guest join us at lunch today and enjoy some yummy pizza!! I hope you all have a safe and a very happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey Day!

Today was a free day for the kids. They chose their own centers to play with and were able to color if they wanted too. We talked about Thanksgiving and all the stuff we had learned about it last week, along with continuing to practice our letter L and number 11. :)

Giving to others.

Today the kids and I decorated our room for Christmas! Yes I know it is early, but we have a friend who will be gone the rest of this week and I wanted them to be involved and help out. :) After decorating I let them do free centers until 11. Today we took our donated food over to the food pantry and had a tour of everything over there, the kids really enjoyed it!

She doesn't look like shes is having too much fun, but she really did love it!

Pilgrims!

Today we made our own pilgrim hats! The kids cut out the hat and they did awesome using their scissors! We continued to talk about Thanksgiving.

The "Cauliflower" aka the Mayflower..

Today we continued talking about Thanksgiving. We made turkeys using graham crackers, chocolate frosting, pretzels, twizzlers, and mike and ikes. The kids loved being able to make their turkeys however they wanted! For art we made Indians and I took pictures of the kids and had their heads on the Indian body. For their Indian name they choose a color and an animal.
