Today we talked about what Thanksgiving is, why we celebrate it, the first thanksgiving, and what we are thankful for. We talked about the Pilgrims and the Indians becoming friends and sharing their food and why it is important to give thanks for everything we have. When I asked each friend what they were thankful for I my heart melted because of their answers. I was expecting my toys or some random choice but all of them told me their family, God, people that make other people happy, and school.
Our centers this week are:
Dramatic Play: Thanksgiving Dinner.
Science: Cranberry ooze.
Building: The first dinner.
Math: Turkey's on a feather.
Art: We worked on our placemats.
