Fire Safety Week!

This week is Fire Safety Week! It was a very busy but very fun filled day!! We have so many fun centers this week also. The kids all agreed they love the shaving cream and paint at the science center the most. For art today we used our hands to paint fire. It was super messy but really fun! We also did our science experiment which was putting pop rocks into a balloon then putting the balloon over a bottle of pop. The kids loved watching the balloons blow up on their own! :) We also practiced getting out of the building if our room was on fire and stopping, dropping, and rolling. The kids did awesome with it. The question of the day was "Who rescues people from fires?" The answers to choose from were a police officer, firefighter or the pizza guy. Most the kids chose firefighters but we did have one chose the pizza guy. I hope you all have a great night!
(I took a lot of pictures today! :))

Fall Harvest!

Today wraps up our week on Fall! The kids really seemed to enjoy learning about the changes that come with fall. Today we read the book Fall Harvest and I asked the kids what their favorite fall harvest food was and most answered pumpkins though I did have one apple and one corn. For art today we used marbles, paint, a plastic container, and a coloring page of a pumpkin and the kids marble painted. Next week we are starting our fire safety theme and have a field trip to the Fire Station on Thursday! I can't wait to see how the kids like it. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Picture Day!

Today was a crazy day! With everyone getting pictures our normal routine was messed up which made for a crazy classroom! For art today we made rain clouds which the kids loved besides all the glue on their hands. I hope you all have a great night!

Fall!

Today we continued talking about Fall! It has been a fun few days listening to the kids talk about the colors, the animals, and harvesting crops so we don't get hungry in winter. :) For art today we made scarecrows which the kids really enjoyed. I forgot to get the camera out until later so there are not that many pictures. I hope you all have a great night!
